OK so I just finished prepping my fruits and veggies for early morning juicing. I am juicing ahead of time to take to work. I will juice my breakfast and drink it before I leave for work. I am going to juice a mid-morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack all to be consumed during my work day. I am going to use pint sized mason jars to store my juices in to help prevent oxidation. I will juice dinner when I get home so I can drink it while it is super fresh! I know this will not be easy, but I am going to give it my best effort!!!
Journey into Juicing...

Off we go...
My name is LuAnn...most people just call me Lu. I am a 43 year old working mom of two great boys, and wife to the best man I know. All of my life I have struggled with my weight. I was an overweight child and now I am an overweight adult. Just like a lot of people, I have tried every diet and weight loss trick under the sun. I have had some measure of success in losing weight in the past, but I always manage to fall right back into my bad eating habits and regain the weight.
In the last two years I have had some health issues that seem to be ongoing. I have had several episodes of Atrial Fibrillation which required hospital stays and cardioversion to return my heart to a normal rhythm. I have had back surgery in the past year, and now I am having ongoing issues with elevated liver enzymes. Needless to say I am on several different prescription medications for my health issues. I work in the health field so I am not oblivious to the end result of the road I am headed down if I do not get healthier.
Recently I watched a couple of documentaries, http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/ and http://www.hungryforchange.tv/.
These documentaries have motivated me to try and get my body healthier by eating a predominantly plant based diet. I have decided to do a juice fast. With information from http://jointhereboot.com I will be doing a 10 day juice only fast, at the end of that 10 days I will either continue the juice only fast, or switch to a juice + eating diet plan. I am going to try and post to this blog to document my progress. I hope to find support and even make some new friends throughout this journey.
